Task 1: Title Page and Checklist
Create a title page and tape the checklist into the next blank page of your notebook to mark the start of Unit 3: Canada.
Task 2a: Political Map of the USA
Step 1: Grab a copy of the map from the front of the room. Label all the States with its two letter code. Color the map following the instructions on the map.
The labels on the map must be easy to see and written well enough that I can read them.
Task 2b: Physical Map of the USA
Step 1: Grab a copy of the map from the front of the room or print one out from the document below. Label all the physical features that are bolded on the instructions. Color the map to look like the picture of the Atlas you used to label.

Task 4: Living West: Water
Look at the embedded doc below to view the video guide. You need to answer all the questions IN YOUR SOCIAL STUDIES NOTEBOOK. This will be a helpful resource for you on your end of unit test. Then watch the video to help you complete the guide.
Task 5: History of the USA Notes
Grab a copy of the note sheet from Mr. Tanner or print off your own copy below. Remove the staple from the packet and tape both pages in separately into your social studies notebook. Then you can use the video below to fill out your notes.
Task 7: EdPuzzle Bill of Rights
Click the link for your class period to watch the video about the Bill of Rights. You will need to record the rights guaranteed by each amendment in your Social Studies Notebook.
Task 8: The United States Worksheet
Grab a copy of the United States Worksheet from Mr. Tanner or print out your own copy by clicking on the image of my notebook below. (If you do not have a printer fill out the document using Kami and I will print it when you return to school. Use Google to look up the answers to each of the questions on the worksheet.
Task 9: iCivics Branches of Power
Click the image of the google classroom logo to get to google classroom. Find the assignment under Unit 4: USA.
Login to iCivics with your Google Account and start playing the branches of power game. Your goal is to go through all three branches of the United States government in order to pass a law of your choosing. You're grade will not be based on if you successfully pass the law, instead you will be graded on your post-test score that is included in the game.
